It is a long travel day, so I recommend enjoying the stops along the way rather than treating it simply as a transfer.

When you arrive in Merzouga, take time to enjoy the desert at a relaxed pace. The light over the Erg Chebbi dunes changes throughout the day, and sunrise and sunset offer different views of the Sahara. A night at a desert camp also provides you with the chance to experience the quiet of the desert after nightfall.
